The new season begins on Oct. 15, for the Gustavus women’s hockey team. We are having tryouts at All-Seasons Arena in Mankato before our on-campus arena is ready next week. It’s always fun to go back to Mankato because that is where I played my college hockey. 
The Gustavus won the MIAC playoff championship last year and advanced to the NCAA Final Four. I am entering my 12th year as the team’s goalie coach. Our first game is Nov. 4, when we host Concordia-Wisconsin.
