Description
This three-day program is built for advanced goalies who are ready to take the next step with their game. It’s a challenging, high-energy learning environment where goalies will sharpen their skills, build confidence and learn what it takes to successfully compete in today’s game. By the end of the weekend, they’ll feel more confident, more prepared and ready to step onto the ice with a real competitive edge. The program features eight hours of focused, on-ice instruction over three days. Open to boys and girls, ages 8-14.
Goalies will learn how to:
- Improve goalie-specific skating skills
- Make quicker side-to-side movements and adjustments
- Refine various save techniques
- Develop faster resets after making saves
- Sharpen hand-eye coordination skills
- Control play around the net
- Build post-play techniques
- Find the puck through screen shots
- Control rebounds to limit scoring opportunities
- Handle the puck behind the net with confidence
- Develop effective breakaway strategy
